About Me

Marcin Mikołaj Mironowicz

I am a member of the Polish Association of Film Editors, I graduated from the Academy of Film & Television in Warsaw with a diploma in film and television editing. I improved my editing skills under the eye of my father – film editor Jan Mikołaj Mironowicz (over 60 documentary films).

As an independent editor, I debuted with a music video of the band Fenomen – „Sam na sam”, directed by Adam Łapiński.
My first documentary film was „Henryk Wars, pieśniarz Warszawy” directed by Wiesław Dąbrowski, with whom I then worked on my next 10 documentary productions. I also cooperated in two Andrzej Fidyk’s films – „Yodok Stories” (IDA Docuweek Oscar Qualification, Planet Doc Review – Youth Jury Award, Jerusalem Intl Film Festival – Award „In The Spirit of Freedom”, Bergen Intl Film Festival – Youth Jury Award, Idfa Amsterdam Joris Ivens) and „Białoruski Waltz” (Nominated in: News and Documentary Emmy Awards – Outstanding Arts & Culture Programming, European Film Academy Awards Prix Europa). In 2007, I began my permanent cooperation with the TVN channel, working on the program „Dzień Dobry TVN”  (over 2000 reportages). Since 2012, I am the owner of the studio JEJQ Post Production, in which the following films have been produced: „Noc w galerii” (dir. Krzysztof Jakubowski), „Uwolnić motyla” (dir. Joanna Frydrych), „Kocham cię jak Irlandię” (dir. Aleksander Dembski), as well several television shows, music videos and advertisements.

I am an individual with great theoretical knowledge and vast film and television experience. I find it easy to establish good relations with the director, and excellent knowledge of Avid software allows me to achieve fast pace of work, perfectly done edits and an amazing result.
